Program Information
Biotechnology is one of the most rapidly expanding
areas of the biological sciences. This exciting and
ever-evolving field offers students the opportunity to be
involved in cutting-edge scientific applications and
research. The program prepares students for further
study in fields such as molecular biology, cell biology,
pharmaceuticals, forensic science, research laboratories
and medical laboratories. Courses provide students
with a solid foundation in basic scientific principles as
well as mathematics. Students will be exposed to the
equipment and techniques necessary to succeed in the
field.
Upon successfully completing this program, students
should be able to:
w
communicate effectively in a scientific manner,
w
demonstrate an understanding of scientific inquiry
and application, and
w
perform basic biotechnology procedures.
Transfer of Credits
